REC Names Jan Jacob Boom-Wichers Managing Director Americas
Jan Jacob Boom-Wichers will look to expand sales activities in the U.S. and Americas region
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - Renewable Energy Corporation (REC) announced the appointment of Jan Jacob Boom-Wichers as the Managing Director Americas at REC Solar, expanding sales activity in these regions. Jan Jacob Boom-Wichers is responsible for the sales of REC solar modules in the U.S. as well as in the Americas in his new role.

Mr. Boom-Wichers joined REC in 2009 and was previously the Managing Director for France, Benelux, UK and Ireland for REC, which today accounts for over 10 percent of REC's sales.
With extensive experience in the solar industry, Jan Jacob Boom-Wichers brings to REC U.S. leadership experience from European markets that have traditionally led industry growth. Jan Jacob Boom-Wichers is a Dutch-American citizen. He holds a BA in Economics from Swarthmore College and an MBA from the Wharton School. He will be based in California.

REC is Europe's largest solar module producer and one of the largest producers of solar components in the U.S. REC has sales representatives throughout the country and is expanding their sales team throughout the country. REC modules were the top performer in the 2011 Photon Field Performance Test, producing 6 percent more power than the test average.
