GPTECH WILL PRESENT ITS UPGRADED SERIES OF PV INVERTERS AT SOLAR POWER INTERNATIONAL

The PVWD series comply with the most restrictive grid codes and certifications.----- They offer a fast response, wide power factor operation range and the capability to inject reactive power at night with no extra VAR support devices needed for the plant

Madrid, 24 of August of 2012. GPtech will participate in the Solar Power International Conference and Exhibition 2012, which will take place from September 10th to 13th, in Orlando, Florida (USA). In its booth, the company will exhibit its series of PV indoor and outdoor inverters. The PVWD inverters family is composed by four main units PV500WD, PV630WD, PV750WD and PV900WD that covers the complete range of the series and complies with the most restrictive grid codes in the world. Thereby, it helps the PV plants meeting the most complex grid requirements. This PV inverters series comply with the certifications UL1741, cUL1741, IEEE 1547, CEC/CIS Performance Testing (California), IEC, EMC and CE Marking.

Additionally, the PVWD series compliance with reactive and voltage regulation requirements due to its fast response and wide power factor operation range, which reaches up to 0.9 without power derating. The PVWD series offers 3 modes against Low Voltage Right Through depending on the reactive injection: maximum reactive power injection, constant power factor and no current injection. Also, it is composed by an automatic power regulation according to frequency variations.

Another important advantage is the capability to inject reactive power at night with no extra VAR support devices needed for the plant. The PVWD series offers DC and AC disconnect switches and a remote monitoring control of active and reactive power. The equipments are designed for all climate conditions thanks to a compact and robust design. The outdoor models count on fully outdoor rated enclosure NEMA3S / IP54, meanwhile the indoor models are prepared for being integrated in transformer station for field installation. Both products offer a wide thermal operation range 4F/140F (-20C/60C) and up to 120 F without power derating and a convenient front access for service and maintenance. In the case of outdoor models, the cooling system, based in optimal air flow conditions and air to air intercooler, provides the best performance in extreme climates with humidity over 98%.

As always, GPtech offers a global after sales service, characterized by a preventative maintenance program and an immediate technical assistance. In addition, the company gives the possibility to its clients of imparting training programs to their employees, and it offers, as well, and extended guarantee adapted to the necessities of each client.

Dynapower - MAXIMIZE PRODUCTION AND REVENUES WITH SOLAR PLUS STORAGE

The addition of energy storage to an existing or new utility-scale PV installation allows system owners and operators the opportunity to capture additional revenues. Traditional storage plus solar applications have involved the coupling of independent storage and PV inverters at an AC bus or the use of multi-input hybrid inverters. An alternative approach - coupling energy storage to PV arrays with a DC-to-DC converter - can help maximize production and profits for existing and new utility-scale installations. DC-Coupled Utility-Scale Solar Plus Storage leads to higher round-trip efficiencies and lower cost of integration with existing PV arrays and at the same time, opens up new revenue streams not possible with traditional AC-coupled storage, including clipping recapture and low voltage harvesting, while being eligible for valuable tax incentives.
