The once weekly video series, posted every Tuesday, is aimed at assisting the solar electric industry to plan successful solar photovoltaic projects.

DAVIS, Calif.--Blue Oak Energy, a commercial and utility solar system engineering and construction company, has launched an educational video series aimed at solar photovoltaic system engineering. The video series is being produced by Blue Oak Energy's multidisciplinary Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Structural engineering staff in Davis, California.

The Tech Talk Tuesday video series was launched in August 2012 to convey simple and concise messages to educate customers, collaborators, students and others on the basics of implementing successful solar projects. The once weekly video series, posted every Tuesday, is aimed at assisting the solar electric industry to plan successful solar photovoltaic projects.

Continuously running now for more than 10 weeks, the Tech Talk Tuesday video series has become a hub for solar education on the company's website and YouTube channel.

"According to Vote Solar, the downstream solar segment has grown more than 1400% in the last 5 years. To continue this pace of growth, we wanted to create a convenient and informative depository for developing rooftop and ground mounted solar projects," stated Tobin Booth, CEO of Blue Oak Energy. "The Tech Talk Tuesday video series educates our audience about fundamental solar energy technical topics."

Brief technical topics such as Storm Water Pollution and Prevention Plans (SWPP) and direct burial underground cable sizing will assist the solar industry avoid many common pitfalls found in solar development's history. The company's multidisciplinary team and depth of experience are openly shared free of charge to help the entire solar industry gain momentum during this evolutionary growth period.
