Wind Simplicity™ wins Deloitte Technology Green 15™ Award
Wind Simplicity™ is a winner of the prestigious Deloitte Technology Green 15™ Award at the 2012 Deloitte Technology Fast 50™ Awards.
Wind Simplicity™ is a named winner of the prestigious Deloitte Technology Green 15™ Award. In its sixth year, the award recognizes 15 companies for leadership in creating major breakthroughs in the field of green technology.
"The Deloitte Technology Green 15 Award winners deliver innovative solutions that promote an efficient use of the earth's resources," said Richard Lee, National Leader, Technology, Media & Telecommunications Industry Group, Deloitte. "Wind Simplicity is an outstanding example of a company that is creating technology solutions that reduce environmental impacts while improving operational performance and productivity."
Wind Simplicity's President, Sharolyn Vettese, credits the unique features of the Windancer™ small wind turbine to the company's ability to achieve early success in this segment. These include a sustainable life cycle and a classic, multi-award-winning design inspired by the beauty and efficiency of nature. Vettese said, "Electricity is so vital to our civilization. The ability to generate electricity onsite with a Windancer small wind turbine and lower it in advance of a storm makes sense when super storms like Hurricane Sandy leave millions of people without power. Ensuing gas shortages can thwart the use of back-up generators. The ability to generate renewable power onsite is vital in a blackout. Wind Simplicity has aimed to create an attractive, portable wind turbine that has minimum impact on the environment." For further information visit www.windsimplicity.ca.

GreenTech products and services are designed to reduce or eliminate environmental impacts and improve operational performance, productivity, or efficiency while reducing costs, inputs, energy consumption, waste, or pollution. Although many companies within GreenTech industry sectors are very different, they share a common trait: all use new, innovative technology to create products and services that compete with existing products and services on price and performance while reducing impact on the environment.
