PARISJune 18, 2013In a move towards growing an already strong partnership, GE's Power Conversion (NYSE: GE) business signed a framework agreement with Guodian Longyuan Electrical Co., Ltd. placing the two industrial companies, known for their innovative and efficient solutions in renewable energy, in a position to offer the domestic Chinese market the fundamental technological building blocks to assist China as the country moves to cleaner and more sustainable energy sources.


Under the agreement, GE will provide the core package for 1.5- and 2-megawatt (MW) converters for Longyuan Electrical. The two companies will work closely to continue to develop the renewables industry in China. The win-win co-operation stems from a long, positive working history and GE's ability to work in meeting the specifics of the local market with a strong local manufacturing and service base.
