The multinational firm, which is attending Intersolar South America in Brazil from 18 to 20 September, has signed a contract to supply 415kW of PV products in San Pedro Sula (Honduras), Nueva Guatemala de la Asunción (Guatemala) and Guayaquil (Ecuador).

16 September 2013. PROINSO, leading global supplier of PV solar products, has supplied 415kW of PV products to three solar PV projects based in Central America and Ecuador. The projects were developed in San Pedro de Sula, Honduras (216kWp); Nueva Guatemala de la Asunción, Guatemala (168.75kWp); and Guayaquil, Ecuador (30kWp).

The material supplied by Proinso included SMA SMC 7000 HV and Sunny Tripower STP24000TL-US inverters, and modules from LDK and ReneSola. These products were delivered by PROINSO USA, the subsidiary based in Sacramento, California.

With this recent sale to three different grid-connected facilities, PROINSO strengthens its presence in Central America. The company operates in USA, Mexico and Brazil. Besides, it has an International Network of Qualified Installers, with more than 400 members in the Americas, mostly in USA, but with a growing number of installers in Central and South America.

As proof of its bet on these markets, PROINSO will attend Intersolar South America (stand A15), the main event for the solar power industry in South America, to be held from 18 to 20 September in São Paulo, Brazil.

Company sources said that, in Latin America, this year PROINSO delivered mainly modules, inverters and, particularly, self-consumption solutions PROINSO PV BOX, whose sales are huge in this market. These solutions can generate, in areas with adequate weather conditions, from 425kWh/year (PROINSO PV BOX 225Wn) to 9,700kWh/year (PV BOX 4,600Wn).

The PROINSO PV BOX self-consumption net-metering solutions come with everything customers need to install them. The pack includes highly efficient modules, microinverters or grid-connected solar inverters, and the fixed structures installers need for the installation.

The solution from PROINSO meets annual production needs with a model of distributed power generation. It is targeted especially at households, businesses, companies and small industries.

At Intersolar South America (stand A15), PROINSO will also showcase its PV-DIESEL hybrid solutions, which combine PV panels and a diesel-generator to generate electric power and reduce fuel consumption. Solutions range from 300kVA to 6MVA and can operate with 5 diesel engines and 60% of them in parallel.//
