New York, Oct. 10, 2013 – Assurant, Inc.'s Jeanne Schwartz is a finalist for Platts Global Energy's Rising Star Award in recognition of her leadership in developing and growing Assurant's solar insurance business.
As vice president of new venture commercialization, Schwartz leads Assurant's entry into renewable energy protection products and services. Bringing together capabilities from within separate businesses within the company, Schwartz' team identified unmet needs and gathered customer insights to launch the company's first new insurance product line in more than a decade. Since the launch in May 2012, Assurant's solar group is focused on innovative insurance solutions available for commercial and residential solar projects.
"We congratulate this year's finalist individuals and companies, and we look forward to honoring their accomplishments when we unveil the 2013 Global Energy Award winners in December at our 15th annual awards dinner," said Platts President Larry Neal.
