INTERSOLAR CHINA, CLEAN ENERGY EXPO AND CIPV EXPO TAKE PLACE UNDER THE SAME ROOF FOR THE FIRST TIME

March 26–28, the China International Exhibition Center (CIEC), Beijing, is staging North China's largest exhibition for the solar industry by far in parallel with a comprehensive range of exhibits on the renewable energy sector.

Freiburg/Pforzheim, Germany, and Beijing, China, October 11, 2013 – In 2014, Intersolar China is being held in conjunction with CIPV Expo and Clean Energy Expo China for the first time. This means that from March 26–28, the China International Exhibition Center (CIEC), Beijing, is staging North China's largest exhibition for the solar industry by far in parallel with a comprehensive range of exhibits on the renewable energy sector. Around 380 exhibitors are set to showcase the latest developments in the fields of photovoltaics, PV production technologies, energy storage systems and solar thermal technologies. The exhibits are complemented by exhibition segments on wind energy, biomass and grid technology.

China is the most important growth market for renewable energy. According to the Renewables 2013: Global Status Report, around 67 billion US dollars were invested in expanding renewable energy in China in 2012, 31.3 billion, i.e. almost half, of which were used to fund solar energy projects. With respect to investments, this places China at the forefront of global markets by a long way. Over the years to come, these sectors are also anticipated to enjoy strong growth. This year, between seven and eight gigawatts (GW) of photovoltaics are expected to be added alone, a figure which would result in China becoming the world's largest market in this sector.

One ticket – numerous exhibitions

The cooperation between Intersolar China and CIPV Expo represents a union between two leading Chinese PV exhibitions, which complement each other perfectly in terms of their content. By running alongside Clean Energy Expo China, the events offer a range of exhibits, which simultaneously unite under one roof the entire spectrum of technologies, products and services in the area of renewable energy. Exhibition visitors benefit in particular from the fusion, as in addition to Intersolar China and CIPV Expo, their ticket provides entry to all of Clean Energy Expo China's exhibitions: Solar Thermal China, Wind Power China, Bio-Energy China and GridTec China. Exhibitors and visitors alike are therefore given a variety of opportunities to engage in discussions with representatives from neighboring and up-and-coming areas, such as energy storage and grid technology, and to strengthen existing contacts.

Synergies created by a wide network of partners

With its national and international partners, Intersolar China and CIPV Expo boast a unique network of experts: Intersolar China's partners comprise the solar industry's major manufacturing associations, such as the China Photovoltaic Industry Alliance (CPIA), the China Renewable Energy Industry Association (CREIA), the Jiangsu PV Industry Association, the European Photovoltaic Industry Association (EPIA), the German Solar Industry Association (BSW) and the German Engineering Federation (VDMA). CIPV Expo China's long-standing partners include the National Energy Administration (NEA), the Chinese Electricity Council (CEC), the State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC), the China BIPV Applications Committee and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Construction Industry Sub-Council.
