During the summit, stakeholders meet to help to advance the development of the state's energy industry and conservation practices
Representatives from Clean Footprint, Central Florida's leading solar finance and development company, are attending the 2013 Florida Energy Summit in Orlando, Florida on October 14th and 15th.
"Florida is the third largest consumer of energy in the nation," said John Porter, Managing Partner and Founder for Clean Footprint. "To meet our states long-term needs, it is imperative that we create an energy policy that nurtures the development of affordable, clean energy sources."
Hosted by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, the 2013 Florida Energy Summit will be held at the Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando.
Some of the panel discussions held during the summit will focus on Florida's changing demographics and how they are affecting Florida's energy usage, the impact of increased energy production, the influence of energy on the housing market and how the infrastructure for electricity, natural gas supplies and transportation fuel delivery facilities are evolving.
Presentations will be given throughout the two day summit by key energy stakeholders in the state of Florida. These panel discussions include:
Florida by the Numbers
Florida's Infrastructure Evolution
Energizing Florida's Workforce
Energy: Myths and Realities
Manufacturing Energy Products in the Sunshine State
The Fifth Fuel: Energy Efficiency and Conservation
Florida's Energy and Water Nexus: Sustaining a Vital and Precious Resource.
"In the past ten years, the energy sector has experienced unprecedented change. As a state, we need to be prepared to take advantage of not only the future economic opportunities, but also learn how businesses can cut costs by increasing energy efficiency," said Kurt Easton, Managing Partner and Business Development Director for Clean Footprint. "The 2013 Florida Energy Summit presents us with an opportunity to educate ourselves and others about these important issues."
