CANADA: Conergy Opens National Solar Conference and Speaks to Energy Industry about Rewards of Solar Energy

Conergy Canada President, Jared Donald Speaks at three important energy events in second half of 2013

Toronto / Denver, 6 December, 2013 – Conergy Canada is continuing its role as a global leader in the solar energy industry while establishing itself as a leader in the larger energy and financial industries. Conergy Canada President, Jared Donald, is helping to cement Conergy's position as unique solar industry players and energy industry pioneers by presenting at three separate events in the latter half of 2013. Mr. Donald participated in energy, engineering and solar energy industry trade events in the second half of 2013. He spoke with the oil and gas leaders at the World Petroleum Council in October and a community of engineering leaders at the World Supply Chain Forum in November. He will round-out this quarter's speaking engagements in Toronto, Ontario December 9th at Canada's annual Solar Conference hosted by the Canadian Solar Industries Association (CanSIA), a national trade association representing approximately 650 solar energy companies throughout Canada since 1992.

As chair of the Canadian Solar Industries Association board of directors, Mr. Donald will, along with CanSIA President John Gorman, provide the conference opening remarks on Monday morning, December 9 in Conference Plenary Room – Hall A.

"Conergy is proud to support CanSIA yet again and to participate in this important industry event. This is Conergy's sixth year sponsoring, attending and exhibiting at Solar Canada. We are happy to be invited back year after year and to share our knowledge and expertise with the solar industry as presenters. The event agenda is sure to provide attendees with the most up-to-date industry news and technology information as well as provide a platform to lean from industry stakeholders so we all can help build a brighter solar future," stated Jared Donald, President of Conergy Canada.

And while participating in the World Petroleum Council and National Supply Chain Forum events, Mr. Donald was able to speak about the need for the oil and gas industry to embrace technologies like solar electricity to not only help curb emission growth but also as one of the lowest cost forms of electricity available to certain operators. The electricity system design across most of Canada is antiquated and needs to be re-imagined to ensure the long term sustainability of the country's economy and solar needs to play an important role in that process.

With possible utility consolidation, a regulatory framework review well underway and a more advanced or smart grid being developed in Canada, Mr. Donald knows how solar energy and other distributed generation will change the electricity system landscape across Canada. With a strong national presence, Conergy understands the local solar programs, requirements, and what our customers need to be successful. This includes initiatives like Conergy's new development and construction financing solutions that supports its partners in executing their projects across Canada.

Conergy's Canadian operation supports the business growth of more than 350 customers across the country. Conergy has been integral in sharing our global expertise to help grow our customers businesses, influence government policy, shape and grow local solar subsidies and programs, and introduce successful products from around the world to markets in Western Canada and Ontario.
