WINDFORCE 2014 brings together the international offshore industry

Exhibitors, conference participants and visitors to the trade fair meet in Bremen

Bremen, 04 March 2014. WINDFORCE 2014, the key event of the offshore wind industry, is taking place in Bremen from 17 to 19 June. At the same time that national and international experts discuss markets, projects, environmental protection and research at the WINDFORCE conference in the congress area at the Bremen Fair site, exhibitors from Germany and overseas will present their products and services in the exhibition halls. Representing the offshore wind industry's entire value-creation chain, some 300 exhibitors are expected to attend, including manufacturers, planners and operators, service and logistics companies as well as research institutes, suppliers and insurers.

Sigmar Gabriel becomes patron

The event organisers, Offshore Wind Messe und Veranstaltungs GmbH und Wind Energy Agency WAB, are expecting around 800 conference participants and 8,000 visitors to the trade fair. Panel discussions, an excursion, and networking events such as the WINDFORCE Dinner and the WINDFORCE Party will round off the programme. The patron of WINDFORCE this year is Sigmar Gabriel, Germany's minister for economics and energy.

"At WINDFORCE 2014 you can find out what makes the offshore industry tick, what trends to observe, which products are new, and how markets are developing", explained Jens Eckhoff, managing director of Offshore Wind Messe und Veranstaltungs GmbH. "This year we are bringing together for the second time the combined expertise of the offshore industry in Bremen's trade fair halls – from researchers and politicians to start-up businesses and industrial groups", added Ronny Meyer, managing director of WAB.

The registration closing date for exhibitors is 16 May 2014. Conference participants can start registering at the beginning of March. The major sponsors of WINDFORCE 2014 are ALSTOM and General Cable.
