Popular Networking Event for the geothermal energy industry on Sept. 28 before the GRC Annual Meeting & GEA Expo in Portland, Oregon.

The Geothermal Resources Council (GRC) has announced more details of events at the world's largest annual geothermal conference held this year at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Oregon, Sept. 28-Oct. 1, 2014.

Just before the start of the GRC Annual Meeting & GEA Geothermal Energy Expo, the GRC Annual Charity Golf Tournament will take place September 28 on the Great Blue Course at Heron Lakes Golf Club in Portland. Registration for the tournament is now open.

This year the proceeds from the tournament will go to the Oregon Chapter of the Make-a-Wish Foundation and the GRC Scholarship Fund.

Located just 15 minutes drive north of downtown Portland, The Great Blue Course at Heron Lakes is designed by famous golf course designer Robert Trent Jones, Jr., and was rated 4 Stars by Golf Digest's "Best Places to Play" for 2008/2009. Heron Lakes was also included in Reader's Choice Top 50 Public Golf courses by GolfWorld Magazine.

More details of the tournament can be found on the GRC website at www.geothermal.org. You can register online or download the GRC Annual Charity Golf Tournament Flyer and fill out a registration form which can be mailed or faxed to the GRC office.

The GRC Annual Meeting & GEA Geothermal Energy Expo is the industry's largest annual gathering of leading geothermal energy scientists, producers, renewable energy industry stakeholders, regulators, utilities, and key associated business leaders. The four-day event will offer technical, policy, and market conference sessions, educational seminars, tours of local geothermal and renewable energy projects, and numerous networking opportunities.

Registration to the GRC Annual Meeting will open in July and will also include entry to the GEA Expo. Room reservations can now be made on the GRC website at www.geothermal.org. A discounted room rate is available until September 3, so early reservations are recommended.
