SPI 2014 - S:FLEX Introduces a New Rail-less Mounting Solution for Standing Seam Metal Rooftops

Denver, October 7th 2014 – S:FLEX Inc., manufacturer of racking solutions for photovoltaic rooftop, ground mount and carport systems, is now offering a new Standing Seam Clamp to serve the growing demand for commercial standing seam metal rooftop projects.

This new product solution enables significant time savings during the direct attachment of the modules onto the standing seam without penetration. Fewer components and the compact design without long rails further reduces the transportation costs. The new Standing Seam Clamp is the start of a new product line for metal seam rooftops.

An additional advantage is that the elongated clamping area distributes the loads more evenly into the standing seam surface. Two EPDM bands at the bottom of the Standing Seam Clamp avoid any potential scratches on the metal roof. In cases where the distance between the standing seams doesn't allow for a direct installation onto the clamps, rails can be used and easily connected with the S:FLEX click-on Cross-Adapters. The Standing Seam Clamp is made out of aluminum and uses stainless steel hardware and is suitable for all module frame dimensions.
