Baker Electric Solar Marketing Manager Receives Emerging Generation Honorable Mention

Ashley Arant, marketing manager of Baker Electric Solar received an honorable mention at the San Diego Business Journal's 2nd Annual Emerging Generation: 25 in their 20's awards presentation.

San Diego, Calif. (PRWEB) December 11, 2014 – San Diego solar installer, Baker Electric Solar, is pleased to announce Marketing Manager, Ashley Arant, received an honorable mention at the San Diego Business Journal's 2nd Annual Emerging Generation: 25 in their 20's awards presentation. The evening event was held December 3 at the Hall of Champions in San Diego's Balboa Park.

In this awards program, the San Diego Business Journal recognizes young dynamic professionals in their twenties who make significant career achievements and demonstrate social responsibility. Individuals are nominated in a comprehensive entry that covers: their proudest achievement or contribution within their profession; how they achieved the milestone; what obstacles or life challenges they have overcome; whether they have a mentor, teacher or class that helped shape or inspire them.

Nominated by Baker Electric Solar President, Mike Teresso, Arant joined Baker Electric Solar in 2008 as marketing coordinator after being laid off from her first career job. She was the sixth office person to be hired in a company of about 15 working in 10,000 square-feet of shared office and warehouse space. Today the San Diego solar installer is in its own 26,000 square-foot building with expansive warehouse. The company recently passed the 100-employee mark. When Arant joined Baker it had installed a few dozen solar systems. Today Baker is on track to install nearly 1000 solar systems this year alone.

Teresso's emerging generation entry documented Arant's contributions in helping the company achieve award-winning growth through her marketing, public relations and community involvement. Arant managed all aspects of Baker Electric Solar's brand and marketing efforts, including creative, traditional media, online presence, public relations, event marketing, and referral programs. Arant's entry detailed how she exhibits the traits of the new class of San Diego's young leaders.

"At Baker Electric Solar we truly believe Ashley is deserving of being recognized as one of San Diego's up-and-coming leaders in their 20's," said Baker Electric Solar President, Mike Teresso. "She is a dynamic young professional who has achieved significant career successes in her position at Baker Electric Solar. She is a strong promoter of renewable energy and has demonstrated social responsibility in advocating the use of solar energy as a sustainable solution to the energy challenges of today."

"I am thankful to the entire Baker team for the brand that we have created together. Without the awesome reputation that we have, based on the excellent work we do, my job would not be nearly as interesting or rewarding," said Marketing Manager Ashley Arant. "It's an amazing honor to receive the San Diego Business Journal's 25 in their 20's honorable mention. The evening provided me with time to reflect on the opportunities I've had with Baker over the last six years to grow as a young professional."
