AWEA applauds California's determination to further cut carbon pollution

SACRAMENTO, CA - Californias decision today to cut its greenhouse gas emissions further, to 40 percent below 1990 levels by 2030, won praise from the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) as "a bold and necessary step."


Tom Darin, AWEAs Western State Policy Senior Director, cited California Gov. Jerry Brown and Senate President Pro Tem Kevin De Leons leadership on the states decision:

"As California continues its international leadership on one of the greatest challenges of our time, the American Wind Energy Association applauds Gov. Brown and Sen. De Leon for taking this bold and necessary step to cut carbon pollution.
