Capitol Hill Briefing Highlights Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Technologies

Policy Forum Provides Update on Latest Advancements

Today, the Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Energy Association, in cooperation with the House Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Caucus, co-hosted the 2015 Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Energy Policy Forum drawing attention to the latest advancements in fuel cell and hydrogen energy technology.


"Hydrogen fuel cell technology is developing rapidly and holds the promise of benefiting both consumers and the environment. Continued research and development will lead to greater efficiencies in production and practical applications. We owe it to future generations to invest now in this safe, reliable, and virtually unlimited source of clean energy," said Congressman Charlie Dent (R-PA), Co-Chair of the House Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Caucus.

"Hydrogen and fuel cell energy technology is providing businesses and consumers with clean, reliable, domestic power that can be used in a variety of applications," said Congressman John Larson (D-CT) Co-Chair of the House Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Caucus. "Fuel cells represent the best of American ingenuity and manufacturing. Along with the continued collaboration with the Department of Energy, this industry will continue to grow and support American jobs."

"Fuel cell technology has made a tremendous step forward over the last couple of years, with fuel cell electric vehicles now being sold to consumers in California, and Fortune 500 companies purchasing fuel cell systems to power their facilities and warehouse operations," said Morry B. The 2015 Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Energy Policy Forum featured representatives from Air Liquide, Toyota Motor North America, Bloom Energy, Plug Power, and the U.S. Department of Energy.
