MECASOLAR supplies 1MW in 2-Axis trackers to solar PV plant in Romania

Mecasolar has supplied 97 dual axis solar trackers in Romania. The 1MW installation, in Miroslava, will be connected at the end of June.

MECASOLAR has supplied 97 dual axis solar trackers to a new project in Romania. The installation lies 400km from Bucharest, in Miroslava, is one of the biggest PV power plants in the country. It will be connected to the grid at the end of June.


The PV plant, which is expected to have an annual output of 1700MWh and save 850 tons of CO2-equivalent emissions, features 97 10,31 kWp 2-Axis trackers and more than 4170 modules.

According to MECASOLAR sources, the 2-Axis solar trackers are capable of increasing photovoltaic solar energy production by more than 35%, when compared to a fixed installation. This maximizes profits by reducing the investment in solar panels.


MECASOLAR expects to strengthen its presence in Central Europe where the renewable energy market is expanding with good prospects for solar energy.
