TÜV SÜD certifies rotor blades for Zhuzhou Times New Material Technology

TÜV SÜD certified the rotor blades of type TMT2.5-53.8 manufactured by Zhuzhou Times New Material Technology Co., Ltd. The certification comprises the Design Assessment, the Prototype Tests and the Manufacturing Inspection of the rotor blades.

The component certification is a necessary requirement for the rotor blades TMT2.5-53.8 which will also be used on international markets. "The certificate confirms the fact that the rotor blades meet the latest state-of-the-art requirements", says Martin Schmalstieg, Head of Rotor Blade Certification of the department Wind Turbines at TÜV SÜD Industrie Service GmbH. Within the scope of the certification, the experts of the international service provider have carried out a comprehensive Design Assessment, have assessed the static Full Scale Tests of the prototype and have overviewed serial productions of rotor blades on-site. The certification has been carried out according to the internationally acknowledged GL Guideline for the Certification of Wind Turbines, Edition 2010.
