SolarWorld Names CGE Energy ‘Authorized Project Developer' and Sign MOU to Collaborate on Solar Projects

Both CGE Energy and SolarWorld have made a commitment to inspire the next generation of energy innovators, and their YMCA partnership is an example of bringing cutting-edge technology to youth.

BRIGHTON, Mich.--SolarWorld Americas Inc., the largest U.S. crystalline-silicon solar manufacturer for 40 years, has given CGE Energy (MKBY. MKBY:OTCPink) the distinction of being an Authorized Project Developer of SolarWorld solar projects both nationally and internationally. By exclusively specifying SolarWorlds industry-leading solar products, CGE Energy will have companys support and backing in each energy project developed.

This Authorized Project Developer status follows the two companies entering into a memorandum of understanding relationship to collaborate on the development, design and construction of solar photovoltaic (PV) projects at multiple YMCA facilities for the YMCA/JCC of Greater Toledo, as well as additional solar project collaborations across the nation.

Both CGE Energy and SolarWorld have made a commitment to inspire the next generation of energy innovators, and their YMCA partnership is an example of bringing cutting-edge technology to youth. Apart from this venture, CGE Energy is nearing completion of its pilot, Net Zero Energy Experience at YMCA Storer Camps in Jackson, Michigan. This is a first-of-its-kind total immersion learning environment focused on renewable energy and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education. SolarWorld annually challenges young scientists working in PV-related disciplines to vie for its research prize, the SolarWorld Junior Einstein Award.

Currently, CGE Energy and SolarWorld are engineering multiple large-scale solar PV systems across YMCA facilities in Michigan and Ohio.
