Circular Energy is proud to announce a joint partnership with Green City Planet to install a 219.52 kW photovoltaic (PV) solar energy system for Austin Partners in Austin, Texas.

The PV system will be comprised of both a roof-mounted array and the construction of a new solar carport to be located at a pair of commercial properties owned by Austin Partners.

The solar PV installation will generate more than 328,000 kWh of energy annually, which translates into environmental savings of 213 tons of CO2 or the equivalent of powering 33 homes for a year.

In addition to solar, the project will also include a wind turbine system designed by Building Turbines, Inc., the parent company of Green City Planet.

"What makes this project so unique and exciting is that it includes both wind turbines and solar panels, and will be implemented by a pair of Austin-based businesses who have a shared interest in sustainable business improvements in the metro-Austin area," said Mark Rangel, Executive Vice President of Business Development at Circular Energy. "This collaboration will bring over $64,000 dollars of energy savings to the Austin Partners properties each year," he added.

The renewable energy project is made possible thanks in part to Austin Energys Performance-Based Incentive (PBI). The PBI allows an organization to earn credit on a monthly bill for the power that a solar PV system generates for 10 years.
