SPI 15 - SMK Electronics to Showcase One Step ‘Snap to Lock’ PV Module Connectors at Solar Power International 2015

PV-03 Photovoltaic Module Connectors make solar power installation quicker, more reliable and less expensive

ANAHEIM, Calif.--SMK Electronics Corporation U.S.A., a division of SMK Corporation, one of the world's leading manufacturers of electronics components, automotive information systems and OEM remote controls, announced today that it will showcase its PV-03 Photovoltaic Module Connectors this week at Solar Power International (SPI), to be held at the Anaheim Convention Center, September 14th-17th (booth # 2349).

"Solar power installations in the U.S. have grown more than 700% over the last four years, with residential installations seeing their best quarter ever in 2015," said Paul Evans, President of SMK Electronics Corporation. "To serve the needs of this emerging market, SMK's family of PV-03 Connectors was created to streamline the PV module installation process. Providing a one-step ‘snap to lock' cable connection, PV-03 Connectors take the guess work out of solar system installation — making PV module installation more precise and less expensive."

PV-03 Photovoltaic Module Connectors

Featuring a one step ‘snap to lock' mating system, SMK Electronics' PV-03 Photovoltaic Connectors help eliminate installer error — enabling quick, accurate field or factory installation of PV modules and systems. Supporting all popular cable diameters for both 600 and 1000 Volt DC systems, PV-03 Connectors meet the NEC2008 standard for safe installation of electrical wiring. IP67-rated, PV-03 Connectors are also sealed against dust and water, UV and ozone resistant, UL approved and designed-in for use with Sharp, Kyocera, Sanyo/Panasonic and Mitsubishi Electric PV solar modules, among others.

SolarEdge Technologies - Solar Inverters, Power Optimizers and PV Monitoring

The SolarEdge PV inverter combines sophisticated digital control technology with efficient power conversion architecture to achieve superior solar power harvesting and best-in-class reliability. The fixed-voltage technology ensures the solar inverter is always working at its optimal input voltage over a wider range of string lengths and regardless of environmental conditions. A proprietary data monitoring receiver has been integrated into the inverter and aggregates the power optimizer performance data from each PV module. This data can be transmitted to the web and accessed via the SolarEdge Monitoring Portal for performance analysis, fault detection and troubleshooting of PV systems.
