RIVERSIDE, Calif.--SolarMax Technology, a leading solar energy systems company based in California, today announced its endorsement of the Solar Energy Industries Association's Solar Business Code. The code was created to ensure solar consumers receive affordable, competitive and ethical service across the organization's 1,000 member companies around the nation. SolarMax Technology will adopt the SEIA's recommendations and implement the Solar Business Code in its four offices in Riverside, Diamond Bar, Temecula and San Diego.
"SolarMax Technology is committed to providing our nearly 5,000 customers with smart, affordable solutions to harnessing solar as a reliable source of energy," said Ching Liu, Executive Vice President of SolarMax Technology. "The SEIA Solar Business Code provides a clear framework of ethical, transparent business practices that Americans expect and deserve from the solar industry," said Tom Kimbis, General Counsel of SEIA and Vice President of Executive Affairs. "SEIA is proud to work with its 1,000 member companies to ensure solar's continued growth as America's power of choice."
The SEIA Solar Business Code covers business transactions, advertising and customer acquisition, sales and marketing, how solar is portrayed to consumers, and terms of solar contracts. There are nearly 200,000 Americans currently employed in the industry, which has led to the construction of a nationwide system capable of powering 4.6 million homes.
