Baker Electric Solar Named One the Best Places to Work in San Diego for Second Year

Baker Electric Solar was recently named one of the Best Places to Work in San Diego by the San Diego Business Journal. The annual list of the Best Places to Work in San Diego was designed to identify, recognize, and honor the area's best employers.

Baker Electric Solar, a full-service solar provider and SunPower Elite Dealer, was recently named one of the Best Places to Work in San Diego in the medium category for the second year. The annual list of the Best Places to Work in San Diego was created by the San Diego Business Journal, Best Companies Group, and sponsors Kaiser Permanente and GreenRope.


The Best Places to Work survey and awards program is designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best employers in San Diego. Baker, an industry-leading solar company currently employs more than 180 employees. A contingency of Baker Electric Solar team members attended the awards ceremony at Paradise Point Resort & Spa.

Competing against other businesses throughout San Diego County, it was a winner in the medium category (50-249 US employees) based on an extensive set of company and employee information. Baker Electric Solar's employee experience survey indicated that its employees were highly satisfied with Baker's overall engagement, pay and benefits, training, development, resources, work environment, corporate culture and leadership.

Companies entered the program by completing a two-part survey process. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process, analyzed the data, and determined the final rankings.
