Taipei, Taiwan - Billion Electric Co. provides its smart energy management solution to monitor the electrical activities at the Eco-Power Station (EPS) in Taiwan, a revolutionary, off-the-grid electric bicycle charging station that is self-powered by solar energy. Billion Electric's successfully combined power metering and communication technologies to not only help ease administrators on the challenges of the central control of scattered equipment, but also create fast and more efficient workflow between devices, which boosts productivity and saves energy.

Designed by the Green Trade Project Office in Taiwan, the EPS brought together ten innovative Taiwanese green technology leaders to demonstrate the viability of environmental-friendly transportation to reduce the crisis of climate change. The EPS was created out of a 40 by 8-foot shipping container, which will operate as an electric charging station by delivering the electricity generated from its rooftop thin-film solar panels to electric bicycles. The EPS today takes place at the TIGIS (Taiwan International Green Industry Show) in Taipei and attracts heavy attentions from international media and government representatives across all industrial sections.

The EPS integrates Billion Electrics smart meters and current control boxes to measure the digital volume of power generation of solar panels, the power consumption of individual bicycles and the consumption of a total charging station. By connecting to a smart energy gateway via wireless transmission, power consumption data can be instantly uploaded to the cloud monitoring system. Administrators can oversee the operational efficiency, voltage, current, and power consumption of electric bicycle through a tablet. Billion Electrics smart energy management solution can also be used for managing the electricity at commercial buildings, factories, and residential community to save manpower and achieve the biggest carbon reduction results

From March 2016, the EPS and Billion Electrics smart energy management solution are to exhibit at the Liberty State Park, New Jersey in the U.S. and to be used as one of the bicycle rental stations in the area.
