Tri Global Energy Continues to Lead Texas in Wind Energy Projects Under Construction

Tri Global Energy's utility-scale wind projects represent about a quarter of all wind power projects currently under construction in Texas.

DALLAS, Oct. 27, 2015 -- Tri Global Energy (TGE), a Dallas-based renewable energy company, continues as the leading developer of wind energy projects in Texas, according to the third quarter 2015 Market Report from the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA).

Tri Global Energy's utility-scale wind projects represent about a quarter of all wind power projects currently under construction in Texas. "All signs point to continued strong growth in demand for renewable energy, and we are aggressively working to expand our participation in the market for wind energy," said John Billingsley, Chairman and CEO of Tri Global Energy.

"We encourage Congress to continue to support clean energy growth by extending the renewable production tax credit to enable the construction of thousands of additional megawatts to serve consumers large and small with affordable, clean power," Billingsley said.

Currently there are more than 100 wind projects under construction in 20 states representing more than 13,250 megawatts of capacity. Texas leads the nation in wind project construction, followed by Oklahoma, Iowa, North Dakota and Kansas, according to AWEA's Market Report.
