An Iron Edison Lithium Iron battery is part of an energy system upgrade at the Science Barge, a prototype sustainable urban farm and education center in Yonkers, NY. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held to welcome a new era for the Science Barge, which is a fully functioning demonstration of renewable energy supporting sustainable food production. Open for weekday educational programs and field trips, the barge is docked in downtown Yonkers.
