Natural Power to showcase services for agri sector

Ideally placed to support farmers, landowners and households with planning and installing groundwater abstraction boreholes, geothermal and renewable energy solutions, land surveys and flood resilience, Natural Power is hitting the road this summer

Natural Power is exhibiting at the following agricultural shows:

• Ayr County Show, 13th May
• Cumberland Show, 17th June
• Scottish Game Fair, 30th June - 2nd July
• Stranraer Show, 26th July
• Wigtown Show, 2nd Aug
• Stewartry Show, 3rd Aug
• Dumfries Show, 5th Aug

The Natural Power team will be on handto discuss services and advise clients on identification of suitable sites and installation of private water supplies. Natural Power can determine the required yield and target the most likely geological units to achieve a sustainable, high-yielding supply. As well as providing a reliable source of water for livestock and crops, that is not subjected to the same seasonal vagaries as spring and surface water supplies, this natural (rather than chemically-treated) alternative to mains water also brings a cost saving in terms of annual water bills, typically paying back in one year.

The team has great experience in delivering high yield dairy farm water wells and also maximising marginal geological terrain - such as the greywacke type strata found through much of the Galloway region. We drill throughout the UK and Ireland and have detailed geological and hydrogeological of many regions.

Toby Gilbert, Head of Geotechnical at Natural Power, said: "We are looking forward to showcasing the drill rig and explaining our capabilities when it comes to water well drilling, combining our geological knowledge and drilling expertise to achieve reliable affordable water supplies."

The water well drilling service is part of Natural Powers larger geotechnical department that was established in 2005. So with more than 10 years experience in this area, the team is well established at delivering within wider construction management teams, integrated with planning, design and constructions processes, and ensuring work is carried out efficiently and to the highest levels of health and safety.

The team regularly completes site investigation work and topographic surveys in challenging and complex terrain, and has the ability to find solutions that combine experienced geotechnical consultancy skills with state of the art contracting services and plant. Natural Powers fleet of rigs includes large high power machines and smaller all terrain versions to suit most access conditions.

Representatives from Natural Powers construction, health and safety and renewable heat teams will be attending the agricultural shows throughout the summer to promote its capabilities to individuals and organisations throughout Dumfries and Galloway and the wider regions of Scotland and the UK. Introducing RockIt Smart Slide

Introducing RockIt Smart Slide

Introducing RockIt Smart Slide - the ultimate solution for fast and easy installation of the rail-less RockIt racking system on composition shingle roofs. Smart Slide conforms to UL 441 and TAS 100 (A)-95 for wind and wind-driven rain, providing a super-strong watertight seal that is achieved through compression, in most cases without the need for additional sealant. The waterproofing sealant is embedded deep into the granules of the shingle, thanks to the integrated flexible foam layer that provides cushioning. This ensures a secure fit that conforms to any architectural-style shingle. With UltraGrip Technology™, you can rely on a secure installation, as it absorbs the movement created by thermal expansion and contraction. The pre-installed sealing pads are compatible with all composition shingle roofs, making it the ideal choice, even in ambient temperatures as low as 5 degrees.
