Last chance to submit papers for PennWell’s inaugural Electrify Europe power conference

Electrify Europe will unite the whole electricity sector to discuss new areas of opportunity, such as distributed energy, the Industrial Internet and e-mobility.

27 September 2017, London, UK - The deadline is fast approaching to submit papers to PennWell, the global media and events company, for its latest energy conference. The advisory board at Electrify Europe is seeking outstanding papers on a wide range of topics - including asset management and optimisation, digitalisation and data, and distributed energy resources - to form its inaugural conference programme.

Brought to you by POWER-GEN and DistribuTECH, the leading global series of power generation, transmission and distribution events, Electrify Europe is set to become Europe's largest electricity market hub, promoting collaboration, innovation and business growth for the new digitalised, decarbonised electricity sector. Electrify Europe is the first conference to combine knowledge from stakeholders across the entire electricity value network.

Nigel Blackaby, Conference Director at Electrify Europe, says: "Our ambition is two-fold: to drive forward the agenda for all aspects of electric power provision and leave attendees feeling equipped to embrace the opportunities arising. Through collaboration with technical and strategic experts, we will develop a programme that sparks exciting discussions about the future of our industry.

"That's why we want papers from innovators across the full length of the electricity supply chain; whether that means power producers, grid integrators, technology suppliers or software developers. If they have a unique viewpoint to share, we want to hear from them."
Electrify Europe will be held in Vienna from 19-21 June 2018. Companies wishing to present their ideas must submit their abstracts via the conference website by 20 October 2017. See here for more information.

LG Solar Unveils NeON R with Enhanced Aesthetics and Energy Savings

The NeON R module features "Back Contact" cell technology delivering an entirely black panel that is aesthetically pleasing and energy efficient. The cell's seamless, surface blends perfectly into nearly all rooftop designs while the module's electrodes are positioned on the rear of the cell. Using LG's N-type cell structure, the panels produce 365W of energy, up to 7.3kWp, compared to 5.8kWp of the p-type cell. The module's new design minimizes LID, thereby delivering a longer lifespan and increased energy output.
