CWIEME Istanbul establishes itself as the gateway to business in Turkey

Following successful editions in 2015 and 2016, CWIEME Istanbul returns this November for a valuable three days of networking, seminars and workshops. Visitors are set to attend from across Turkey, the Middle East, North Africa, Europe and CIS countries to discover new products and suppliers, and keep up to date with industry trends.

Taking place on the 2nd-4th November at the Istanbul Expo Center, CWIEME Istanbul is the only event in the region dedicated to coil winding, electric motors and transformer manufacturing technologies. A bridge between Europe and Asia, CWIEME Istanbul is ideally-located to enable participants to reach new markets and connect with key decision-makers from across the industry.


At last years show, Rainer Sanders, general manager for Sales and Marketing at Röchling Engineering Plastics, said: "It is the most important exhibition for this industry. We have had very important customers come to see us and we have also met new customers from South America and even Korea, as well as from Turkey. We have been pleased with the mix and quality of visitors that we have seen at the show."

Röchling Engineering Plastics will be joined this year by leading suppliers from approximately 45 countries, including Alliance Winding, Coveme, Enpay, Elantas Europe, HM Elektomekanik, Isovolta, Oktel, Rancan, Weidmann and Yildiz Agac. These suppliers are specialists in transformer components and accessories; motor components and accessories; adhesives, resins and coatings; coil winding and inductive component manufacture; insulation and shielding materials; and electronic and electrical components.

To make it even easier for participants to make new contacts, all first-time exhibitors at CWIEME Istanbul will be grouped together in a New Exhibitor Zone. At this years show, CWIEME Istanbul is also introducing a Product Display Zone, an interactive area where visitors are able to see and experience the latest products and technologies in action.

Disruptive technologies explored

As well as discovering new products and suppliers, CWIEME Istanbul also offers participants the chance to keep up to date with all the latest industry trends. The theme of this years free-to-attend seminar programme is ‘new pathways to optimization and efficiency and will explore the many areas of electrical industries on the brink of disruption. Key themes will include the growing impact of Industry 4.0; transformer design requirements for smarter, more responsive grid infrastructures; and e-mobility, which will be given special attention. From traction motor design to global e-automotive market analysis, attendees will be able to find out why this is the biggest area of change in a century of electrical machine production.
