Energy Storage Europe will return to the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany from March 13 - 15, 2018. Over the past three years, the visitor numbers at the trade fair and conference grew by an average of 54% to more than 4,200 industry representatives at the 2017 staging. During the same period, the number of exhibitors increased to 160 companies. After this years move from the congress center into its own exhibition hall, the organizer Messe Düsseldorf expects further growth in 2018. The high share of trade visitors (98.9%) and the world's most comprehensive conference program will ensure the continuation of this success story.

All energy storage technologies under one roof Energy Storage Europe 2018 will again focus on energy storage of all technologies - from electric, electrochemical and thermal to chemical and mechanical storage. "Energy Storage Europe has positioned itself as the top exhibition in the field by presenting all worldwide storage technologies in one place. This diversity and the existing industry network of Messe Düsseldorf create a market place, which effectively links together technologies, applications, suppliers and users," stated Hans Werner Reinhard, Managing Director of Messe Düsseldorf.

With sector coupling to the energy system of the future
As a comprehensive industry get-together, Energy Storage Europe 2018 also interlinks science and economy. "The industry has reached maturity. Now it is all about the concrete expansion of the capacities and the comprehensive integration of various storage technologies into complex energy systems. A particularly dynamic development is currently taking place in the area of sector coupling. The combination of electricity and mobility can only be achieved with a storage-supported charging infrastructure," explained Urban Windelen, Managing Director of the German Energy Storage Association. This challenge will also be reflected in the conference program of Energy Storage Europe 2018.

Focus on international markets
International markets traditionally belong to the focal points of the Energy Storage Europe Conference. In 2018, the presentations will again deal with the legal as well as the technical framework conditions in the most important regions. The high acceptance of Energy Storage Europe can also be determined by the numerous participants from all over the world. In 2017, visitors came from all five continents to Düsseldorf with a total of 64 nations represented. Companies preparing their access to the market or partnerships in other countries such as the U.S., China, India and Japan, meet decision makers and organizers of the global Energy Storage Network in Düsseldorf. This is underlined by the high trade visitor share of 98.9%.
