From Tech-Day to Oktoberfest – Established workshop of the international off-grid industry takes place for the first time in Augsburg in September

Augsburg, 26 April 2019. Under the motto "Get rid of the grid!", Messe Augsburg organizes for the first time the OFF-GRID Experts Workshop, the leading event for self-sufficient power supply with solar, wind and hydropower plants, with Phaesun GmbH as its specialist partner. The specialist event for installers, dealers, planners, users and organisations from all over the world will take place from 19 to 21 September 2019 at Messe Augsburg. The previous location Memmingen had become too small for the combination of informative lectures, interactive workshops, accompanying exhibition and networking events.

Meeting point for insiders and interested parties from the entire off-grid world

30 exhibitors have already registered today. "For many years, the workshop has provided Steca with the perfect environment to meet insiders and interested parties from the entire off-grid world. No less important to us is the feedback from the market. We are looking forward to seeing you again," explains Werner Gut, Head of the Solar and Energy Division at Steca Elektronik GmbH. Bop Hopman, Sales Manager Germany at Victron Energy, adds: "The workshop bundles the off-grid network in a very professional way and is the best opportunity for us to inform (potential) customers from the theoretical side up to hands-on training about our solutions for the international off-grid market".

Interactive, innovative and entertaining

In addition to around 30 presentations by international experts on the topics of photovoltaics, small wind, mini-/micro grids and hybrid and alternative systems, open presentation formats such as the Speakers' Corner and the Running Discussion will take place as part of the OEW Table Talks. The program will be in German and English with simultaneous translation for all presentations. Among the highlights will be Tech-Day on 19 September with product training sessions for software companies, inverter, fuel cell and storage manufacturers. Hands-on assembling stations and off-grid sales will ensure maximum practical relevance. Evening and networking events as well as speed dating events and the concluding visit to the Munich Oktoberfest round off the program.

Serge Remy, Head of Sales at Studer Innotec, confirms: "If you are active in off-grid electrification, this is the best workshop you can attend. Since its introduction in 2011, the workshop has provided us with new, valuable insights every time". The OEW is also supported by the Alliance for Rural Electrification (ARE) as an official partner. ARE's vision is that by 2030 everyone in the world, and especially all rural people in low and middle income countries, should have access to affordable, secure and clean energy services.

Tickets can be purchased via the website www.off-grid-experts.com either for the entire event or just to visit the accompanying exhibition. Up-to-date information can be found in the newsletter, which can be subscribed to at https://www.off-grid-experts.com/newsletter-registration.
