New UVAC 6G receiver from Siemens boosts efficiency of solar thermal power plants Siemens announced at the SolarPACES conference in Marrakech the release of a new solar receiver, the UVAC 6G (Universal Vacuum Air Collector), which further increases thermal heat production for solar power plants. The improved heat generation of the UVAC 6G enables the construction and operation of more efficient power plants that allows solar field operators to reduce capital and operating expenditures (CAPEX and OPEX) by up to 2.5 percent. Until now, more than 500.000 receivers of the UVAC family have been successfully installed in power plants.

The NeON R module features "Back Contact" cell technology delivering an entirely black panel that is aesthetically pleasing and energy efficient. The cell's seamless, surface blends perfectly into nearly all rooftop designs while the module's electrodes are positioned on the rear of the cell. Using LG's N-type cell structure, the panels produce 365W of energy, up to 7.3kWp, compared to 5.8kWp of the p-type cell.
