The Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) urged Nevada to update its Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) at the ballot in November after the state's largest utility said it had met its renewable energy goal for the eighth year in a row. Below is a statement from Sean Gallagher, SEIA's vice president of state affairs:
The solar array consists of 35,520 panels and will be constructed on approximately 17 acres of a 75-acre landfill site located in Brooklyn, Ohio. Sized at approximately 4.0MW (DC), the array will be large enough to supply approximately 5% of the electricity consumption for 16 county-owned commercial buildings. This is equivalent to powering roughly 500 residential homes.
This year in honor Earth Day, Solar Energy World, the fastest-growing, locally owned and operated solar system design and installation company in Maryland, is hosting a Free Solar 101 Workshop for Homeowners from the Baltimore/DC metro area on Saturday April 21, 2018 from 10:30 AM -12:30 PM at the headquarters in Elkridge, Maryland.
Report offers strategies for plugging state into growing $1.4 trillion advanced energy industry
With a multitude of technologies to choose from (bio, solar, wind, geothermal and hydrogen energy) for companies (and investors) whose success relies on choosing the "right" technology, the gamble is great. The company determined that profit and best rate of return revolves around control of feedstock and long term off take agreements and that is our ongoing focus.
The need to replace aging electric grid infrastructure amidst rapidly evolving utility roles, customer demands and improved distributed energy resource (DER) technology is clear. Utilities - and others - are exploring lower cost, higher consumer and environmental benefit solutions with non-wire alternatives (NWA).
Sungrow, the global leading inverter solution supplier for renewables, is expanding its presence in emerging APAC solar markets, in particular South Korea and Vietnam. The Company will have a brand presence at Green Energy Expo Korea and the Solar Show Vietnam in early April.
