Tell us about your company.

Baja Carports established its trademark brand in 1981. Today, Baja is regarded as one of the largest carport installers in the US, and we’re gaining momentum in Mexico and Canada. Baja’s solar support systems™ are pre-fabricated, pre-engineered, and pre-galvanized. All structures can be painted on-site. Designed and engineered in-house to optimize kWh production with maximum coverage. Baja’s carport components are delivered and assembled on-site by Baja construction crews; with the intention for no field engineering or welding. Each component is designed to be a direct attachment from modules to purlins, no additional racking or decking required. The result minimizes labor cost and reduces installation schedules. The solar advantage is Baja’s in-house design and engineering services. Baja customers include Solar Integrators, Project Developers, State & Local Government, Multi-Family & Affordable Housing, Hospitals & Medical Centers, Schools & Colleges, Agriculture, Manufacturers, Transportation, and Fortune 500 Companies.

SPI 2018 has many educational sessions & demo’s, is your company involved in any of them this year?

Yes, our poster was accepted, and we will be involved in the poster educational presentations.

When you book a booth for a tradeshow like this what are your expectations and what does your company hope to accomplish at the event?

Exposure! If we get a dozen solid leads that turn into projects, that’s awesome! What’s important to us is we meet new customers, shake hands and speak to our existing customers, because we don’t always get to see them face to face, and make eye contact and have great conversations with everyone who steps into our booths!
