BMW tops Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes as world's most sustainable automobile manufacturer.
The Western Australian Sustainable Energy Association Inc (WA SEA) congratulates BMW Group for the fourth year in a row leading its sector in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes (DJSI).
BWM Group, represented in Perth, Western Australia, by Auto Classic BMW, has been listed in the DJSI - an important collection of corporate sustainability indexes - every year since they were established in 1999.
"I acknowledge the strong commitment Auto Classic BMW has made to support WA SEA by becoming a Corporate Member," says Dr Ray Wills, CEO of WA SEA.
BMW Group's Board of Management defined sustainability as a key corporate principle back in 2000. BMW addresses sustainability throughout the value chain, comprehensive product responsibility and consistent conservation of resources are firmly anchored in the company's processes.
"BMW's leadership in this area is an example of how companies can provide the business part of the solution to climate change, to get the job done in a way that won't cost the Earth," says Dr Wills.
