To help identify innovative funding mechanisms and link its customers more easily to these sources, EnerWorks has appointed Robert Bender as Executive Vice President.

"In today's business climate, getting access to capital can be an impediment for many projects," says Jim Fletcher, Chair of the EnerWorks Board of Directors and Managing Director with Chrysalix Energy Management, a leading cleantech VC. "As our current distribution expands throughout and beyond North America, financing of large-scale installations is becoming an increasingly important consideration, particularly for commercial and industrial clients. Robert's responsibilities as Executive Vice President will include developing methodology to facilitate such financing needs."


Initially an investor in EnerWorks, Bender found the opportunity to increase his involvement so compelling that he offered his services. His wealth of experience includes numerous areas that are key to the company's growth; his career has included founding and developing a number of successful technology companies and holding executive positions in venture capital and corporate finance firms. He has worked with project financing and government agencies in several settings in Canada and the United States.
