SMART Energy International Summit Announces Key Sponsors

PG&E to Be Host Sponsor; Joins Accenture, SAIC and Other Utility Industry Leaders

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – September 14, 2011 – Spintelligent today announced the sponsors of its 2011 SMART Energy International Conference and Exposition. Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E), California's largest energy utility, has agreed to be host sponsor of the summit joining platinum sponsor Accenture, gold sponsor SAIC, silver sponsors Aclara, KEMA, Opower and other innovative vendors and exhibitors.

SMART Energy International-San Francisco is part of a global series of summits that bring together the world's leading utilities and thinkers on sustainable energy to discuss progressive policy, fresh business models, and technological innovations that will impact the way utilities can deliver energy to communities. Taking a broad and integrated approach to the topic, the conference will take attendees through the latest case studies and research being undertaken on distribution automation, demand response, electric vehicles, home area networks, storage and renewables, distributed generation and much more.

PG&E senior director of Smart Grid, Kevin Dasso, will welcome attendees to the conference on the morning of Tuesday 25th September, before joining the General Manager of Austin Energy, director of Smart Grid at San Diego Gas & Electric and the managing director of KEMA Americas, in discussing the role utilities must play in delivering a safe, sustainable, community-centric energy grid.

"All of our sponsors are well respected among the utility industry, both domestically and internationally, for their leadership in the Smart Grid and progressive stance on incorporating renewable energy into the California grid," said Mark Walker, VP North America for Spintelligent. "PG&E in particular has been an early supporter of new clean energy technologies and we welcome their commitment to sharing their tremendous knowledge at our utilities industry leadership summit."

The event will be of benefit in particular to progressive utilities looking at how to unlock the full value of the smart grid for both their operational efficiencies and the customer, and for those wishing to understand how the future of energy will be impacted by technologies that continue to feed into and redefine the grid.

Introducing RockIt Smart Slide

Introducing RockIt Smart Slide

Introducing RockIt Smart Slide - the ultimate solution for fast and easy installation of the rail-less RockIt racking system on composition shingle roofs. Smart Slide conforms to UL 441 and TAS 100 (A)-95 for wind and wind-driven rain, providing a super-strong watertight seal that is achieved through compression, in most cases without the need for additional sealant. The waterproofing sealant is embedded deep into the granules of the shingle, thanks to the integrated flexible foam layer that provides cushioning. This ensures a secure fit that conforms to any architectural-style shingle. With UltraGrip Technology™, you can rely on a secure installation, as it absorbs the movement created by thermal expansion and contraction. The pre-installed sealing pads are compatible with all composition shingle roofs, making it the ideal choice, even in ambient temperatures as low as 5 degrees.
