MaxMonitoring - The SolarMax app for displaying system performance

Using the cost-free app MaxMonitoring, plant operators can have the performance data of their photovoltaic systems displayed at any time in their home. The app is available as of now in the Apple app store.

Biel, 02.11.2011: MaxMonitoring, available for iPhone and iPad, as well as for Android smart phones as of the end of the year, is able to manage the data of a total of 15 facilities with up to ten SolarMax inverters in each case. The performance data is displayed in a clear manner and divided into different areas so that the most important information is available to the user at one glance.

The real-time display presents the current data of up to four different inverters at the same time. Amongst others, input and output voltages, input and output currents, frequency, device temperature, and yield can be displayed. A status display indicates whether the inverters work correctly or whether there is a failure. Using these two indicators, plant operators are able to detect technical problems and reduce the time taken in diagnosing system errors. Furthermore, data curves for daily, monthly, and annual yield can be displayed. This way, you can see at any time how much environmentally friendly solar energy your system is generating and has fed into the public grid.

Since all SolarMax inverters can be connected to a WiFi router using the standard Ethernet interface, MaxMonitoring directly accesses the system data within the domestic network – without any diversion using the internet. The MaxMonitoring app can be installed to iPhone or iPad directly from the Apple app store.

About Sputnik Engineering AG

Sputnik Engineering AG, a Swiss company, is one of the world's leading manufacturers of grid-connected solar inverters. Under the name SolarMax the company develops, produces and sells inverters for every facility – from photovoltaic systems on single-family homes whose kilowatt output is modest, to the solar power plants whose output is measured in megawatts. The inverter is a key component of the solar plant, transforming the generated direct current into grid-compliant alternating current. 20 years of experience are not only reflected in the Swiss quality, highest efficiency, reliability, and durability of the SolarMax products, but also in the way Sputnik offers its customers excellent international support in the field of after sales, comprehensive warranty services, and intelligent solutions for system monitoring.

Sputnik Engineering is positioned internationally and currently has approx. 360 employees. The company headquarters are located in Switzerland (Biel); sales and distribution are implemented via the subsidiaries in Germany, Spain, Italy, France and China, as well as the branches in Belgium, Great Britain and Czech Republic.
