Advanced Energy® to Exhibit Complete Energy Management Solution Suite at Solar Canada 2011

Company to highlight Turnkey Commercial, Utility-Scale and String PV Solutions

FORT COLLINS, Colo., December 1, 2011—Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. (Nasdaq: AEIS), today announced that its will showcase its complete suite of energy management solutions at CanSIA's Solar Canada, December 5-6, 2011 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Toronto. Additionally, Advanced Energy (AE) recently opened a new sales and service office in Mississauga, Ontario enabling full service support and parts at the local level. During Solar Canada AE (booth #902) will showcase the new PV Powered™ HE String inverter line, the PV Powered™ 250kW inverter and the Solaron® 500 HE.


During Solar Canada, AE will showcase AE's Solaron® 500 HE PV inverter, which has a 98 percent efficiency rating from the California Energy Commission (CEC), a record breaking efficiency rating for any inverter in this power class. Additionally, AE's Solaron® 500 and Solaron® 500 HE meet all of the requirements of Ontario's current feed-in tariff (FIT) program.

The PV Powered commercial inverter product line ranging from 35kW – 250kW now includes 600VAC options to meet the needs of the Canadian market and fully complies with Ontario's FIT program requirements. At the show, AE will display the PV Powered™ 250kW, which has set the standard for commercial inverter reliability, ease of installation and lifetime maintainability. High reliability is enabled by market-leading features, including: bus bar power connections, redundant cooling system and the widest temperature rating of any inverter in its class.

Also new to the market is the PV Powered (PVP) HE String line which is AE's all-new line of high-performance string inverters ideally suited for North American residential and small-commercial rooftop installations. The new PVP HE String line is the industry's first inverter to offer standard ZigBee wireless monitoring. The innovative inverter also offers high-efficiency and multiple ease-of-installation features in a high reliability design.
