Natural Power present at National Wind Wildlife

Our Planning and Environment team, represented by Nancy Maclean, David Tidhar and Chris Pendlebury, will be attending the National Wind Wildlife Research Meeting in Broomfield, Colorado from 27th November - 2nd December 2016.

Nancy will be providing a talk on the results of the Robin Rigg offshore project on wildlife, the first commercial offshore wind farm in Scottish waters, and the team will each be presenting posters on lessons learned from offshore projects in the UK.

Chris Pendlebury, Director of Planning and Environment at Natural Power, said: "Were again delighted to be presenting at the upcoming National Wind Wildlife Conference for the fourth consecutive event. As our planning and environment services expand throughout the USA, we have been successfully completing field studies and due diligence for onshore wind and solar projects, and are keen to share learning and best practice with the audience."

The biennial Wind Wildlife Research Meeting provides an internationally recognised forum for researchers and wind-wildlife stakeholders to hear contributed papers, view research posters, and listen to panels that synthesise the most recent wind power-related wildlife research. Academics, researchers, conservation scientists, consultants, federal and state officials, NGO representatives, and wind industry professionals come together every other year for this unique opportunity.
The meeting is organised and presented by the American Wind Wildlife Institute (AWWI) and chaired by Dr. Taber Allison, AWWIs Director of Research and Evaluation. To find out more visit https://www.nationalwind.org/research/meetings/wind-wildlife-research-meeting-xi/
