Siliken Expands to the Asian Market with Two New Offices in Japan and Singapore

The new offices will consolidate the Group's business presence in the Asian-Pacific region

Siliken, the international company dedicated to developing applications for the PV solar energy sector, continues its positioning and expansion in the Asian market. Recently, the company opened two new offices in Tokyo and Singapore which, in addition to its business presence in Australia, will cover demand in the Asian-Pacific region.

The decision to strengthen its presence in this market is based on the need to respond to a growing demand for PV quality solutions, a sector which pits Siliken against low-cost competitors.

The company's main business efforts are geared towards residential and commercial applications, accounting for more than 70% of all installations carried out and in which both the performance and quality of the modules are key factors. However, the company also covers ground installations, which is a very steadily growing segment.

"PV demand is increasing fast, due to government support and the implementation of energy programmes and measures that foment the use of renewable energy to reorganize the mixture of power generation types", Ugo Portillo, Siliken Director for the Asian-Pacific region explains. Countries like Japan and Australia show growth rates of close to 100%.
Other factors underlying Siliken's focus on the Asian market are the high retail prices for electricity and the fact that countries such as Australia and Japan "have virtually reached grit parity', meaning that the PV market will most likely continue to grow at the expense of traditional energy sources", Portillo states.

Siliken has been directly involved in operations in Japan, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan and Nepal, either through the company's commercial network or through sales of its PV modules to large corporations. The business portfolio currently being negotiated for the Asia-Pacific region totals 30 MW.

Siliken is an international company developing solutions for the renewable energy industry, especially in the area of photovoltaic solar energy. Siliken is committed to the promotion, maintenance and after-sales service of photovoltaic installations, including the manufacture and distribution of PV modules and components. Siliken has module production plants in Spain, Mexico and Rumania, next to its own purification plant for solar-grade silicon in Spain. Siliken modules are subjected to strict quality control tests in order to guarantee product efficiency, flexibility and durability. Testimony to this are the modules' No. 1 ranking in 2010 and No. 2 ranking in 2011 in the leading independent survey carried out in the test laboratories of Photon in Aachen, Germany.
Today, Siliken continues its international expansion, strengthening its position as a reference in the world of renewable energy.

You haven't installed a tile mount that is easier to install than the Solar Tile Mount manufactured by TRA Snow and Sun. Solar Tile Mount is used on all tile roof profiles: flat, mid, and high. It is made in the USA of aluminum alloy for strength and excellent corrosion resistance. Solar Tile Mount is built to allow more ease in installation with more rise from the tile surface to the rail for better air flow below panels. The adjustable base is longer than most allowing attachment 6" to the left or right to have the bracket in the base of the pan of the tile and still fasten to the rafter. Solar Tile Mount is adjustable for counter batten systems from ¾" to 3". The horizontal rail is directly above base fasteners giving greater uplift resistance than any other system. For superior waterproofing apply TRA Snow and Sun's butyl backed VersaFlash aluminum flashing. No tile flashing is needed on top of the tile for greater labor and material cost savings.
