Energiebau to look after Phoenix Solar's distribution customers

With Energiebau Solarstromsysteme GmbH, Phoenix Solar's German distribution customers will have the support of a leading provider of solar power systems that offers solar trades and contractors a competitive product portfolio and reliable services.

Cologne, 13 February 2013 - With Energiebau Solarstromsysteme GmbH, Phoenix Solar's German distribution customers will have the support of a leading provider of solar power systems that offers solar trades and contractors a competitive product portfolio and reliable services.

The listed solar group Phoenix Solar AG will be shifting its distribution focus to the high growth solar markets in Asia and the USA. Besides the trading and project activities of its European and international subsidiaries, Phoenix Solar will continue to run its profitable production management and maintenance services divisions for solar power plants in Germany. The solar group's distribution division working out of Germany will be closed down, and its customers will in future be looked after by Energiebau.

"With Energiebau we have found a strong partner for our numerous German customers of many years standing, and it will provide them with good, competent support for the future", stated Dr Bernd Köhler, financial director of Phoenix Solar AG.

"Commitment to photovoltaics in Europe"

"This partnership confirms our commitment to photovoltaics in Europe", says René Médawar, managing director of the distribution division at Energiebau. "Thanks to our effective organisation, our competitive terms, and our corporate culture based on partnership, we will be able to follow on the successful work done by Phoenix Solar to date, and provide reliable, ongoing support to German solar trades even in periods of consolidation."
