2degrees Solution of the Year runner-up and TenLinks Best of Show at AIA
July 17, 2013 – IES' online project management solution for green building ratings, IES TaP has impressed both the US and UK markets, scooping two awards in the same week. The tool mandated by Bouygues contractors in the UK for all their BREEAM assessments, came runner-up in the UK 2degrees Sustainability Champions awards under the ‘Solution of the Year' category. Whilst at the AIA Conference and Expo in Denver, USA, the editor of TenLinks.com was deeply impressed with the tool, selecting it for its Best of Show award.
Launched in the UK in March last year and November in the US, IES TaP is a unique online project management tool for tracking green building assessments such as BREEAM and LEED. The tool enables assessors to access and track all of their projects online in one place, reducing the time required to deliver compliance, enabling them to take on more projects. It also hosts a number of features that enables users to take a much more organised approach to undertaking assessments. It simplifies the process allowing the whole team to work together in an integrated manner, assigning team member responsibility for all evidence and paperwork.
In an announcement about the Best of Show at AIA awards by TenLinks.com, editor, Roopinder Tara said "It was a difficult choice as there were many useful products on the show floor and deserving of attention by architects, but after much deliberation, it was decided that IES TaP had the most to offer."
Martin Chilcott at 2degrees commented: "With the 2degrees Sustainability Champions Awards voted for entirely by peers, this achievement demonstrates the real value of IES' TaP to those who use sustainable business solutions day-to-day in their jobs. What a great accolade for IES to be formally recognized by their peers and customers."
"We are delighted to have picked up these awards for IES TaP," says Don McLean, Founder and CEO, IES. "There are plans in place to roll the tool out for other green rating systems across the world and we hope to see the same success as in the US and UK. It's fantastic to see it getting the recognition it deserves"
