Array Technologies Commissions 1.2 MW in Rio Rancho

Array Technologies is thrilled to announce the completion of two solar tracking projects in the Rio Rancho-Albuquerque area in New Mexico. The two installations, located at Cleveland and Rio Rancho High Schools, were recently completed through an effort that involved numerous entities.

Together, the sites make up 2.36 MW/dc, 1.2 MW of which is solar tracker. The electric output of both sites is enough to power roughly 80% of each school's required electricity needs. The projects will also help offset 1,136 tons of greenhouse gas emissions along with serving as an important reminder of how renewable energy can benefit our local communities by providing much needed jobs, revenue, and clean long-term energy generation. These installations also ensure that current and future students will learn about solar energy and environmental sustainability first hand, from the installations generating clean electricity in their schools' backyard.

The DuraTrack™ HZ single-axis solar tracker was chosen by ATI's customer for its ability to be installed on uneven and undulating terrain, as seen at the Rio Rancho High School site. The FCL model split-core current transformers have multiple benefits, including a flexible twisting motion for ease of application. Installing a split-core CT means there is no need to disconnect your primary conductor(s) which reduces downtime. Many customizations are available including extended secondary lead wire lengths, various outputs including 5A, 1A, 1VAC, and 0.333VAC, and custom rubber inserts to help center the CT and maintain accuracy.
