SunEdison Launches High Efficiency Silvantis R-Series PERC Solar Module

Silvantis R-series increases solar module efficiency via Passivated Emitter and Rear Cell (PERC) technology, for higher power output and maximum durability.

BELMONT, Calif., May 28, 2014 -- SunEdison (NYSE: SUNE), a leading solar technology manufacturer and provider of solar energy services, today introduced the SunEdison Silvantis R-series solar module. The SunEdison Silvantis R-series increases solar module efficiency via Passivated Emitter and Rear Cell (PERC) technology, for higher power output and maximum durability.

"PERC technology delivers more than 10 extra watts of power per module," said Dave Ranhoff, President of Solar Materials at SunEdison. "The R-series modules capture the maximum amount of energy in a given area and deliver better solar system economics."

The new modules also go well beyond the industry standard for potential induced degradation (PID) resistance. The SunEdison Silvantis R-series is warranted for operation with high efficiency transformerless inverters and has been thoroughly tested beyond standard PID certification conditions.

Ranhoff stated: "The majority of the solar modules we manufacture are used in SunEdison-owned systemsthe success of these projects depends upon the performance of the solar module. The new R-series modules are built to deliver outstanding performance and durability through the 25-year or more life of a solar system."

The Silvantis R-series solar modules deliver the following features and benefits:

*PERC technology delivers increased module efficiencyup to 17.4%

*Guaranteed power performance

*PID-free modules are fully warranted for operation with all inverter types, including transformerless inverters

*25-year product and power warranty

Available in 60-cell and 72-cell formats, the new R-series modules from SunEdison offer utility-grade products for residential, commercial, and utility-scale solar. The higher power output of the R-series lowers installation costs and captures the maximum amount of energy from a given area. TRA SNOW AND SUN - SOLAR TILE MOUNT

TRA SNOW AND SUN - SOLAR TILE MOUNT

You haven't installed a tile mount that is easier to install than the Solar Tile Mount manufactured by TRA Snow and Sun. Solar Tile Mount is used on all tile roof profiles: flat, mid, and high. It is made in the USA of aluminum alloy for strength and excellent corrosion resistance. Solar Tile Mount is built to allow more ease in installation with more rise from the tile surface to the rail for better air flow below panels. The adjustable base is longer than most allowing attachment 6" to the left or right to have the bracket in the base of the pan of the tile and still fasten to the rafter. Solar Tile Mount is adjustable for counter batten systems from ¾" to 3". The horizontal rail is directly above base fasteners giving greater uplift resistance than any other system. For superior waterproofing apply TRA Snow and Sun's butyl backed VersaFlash aluminum flashing. No tile flashing is needed on top of the tile for greater labor and material cost savings.
