Baker Electric Solar Partners with N. San Diego Business Chamber to Promote Think Local First

Baker Electric Solar is pleased to be a N. San Diego Business Chamber Think Local First Presenting Partner. The San Diego solar company is featured in one of the chamber's local public service announcements.

San Diego, Calif. (PRWEB) January 13, 2015 – Baker Electric Solar, a San Diego solar company that designs, builds and installs photovoltaic solar power systems for new and existing homes, commercial facilities and utility-scale projects across Southern California, is pleased to announce it has partnered with the N. San Diego Business Chamber to help promote the Think Local First initiative with a public service announcement and sponsorship funding.

The N. San Diego Business Chamber is the only United States Chamber of Commerce accredited organization in San Diego County. It is one of 13 accredited in California, and among only three percent of chambers nationwide. Aligned with its mission of "Building Vibrant Communities Through Stronger Commerce," it has united a wide range of businesses, chambers of commerce organizations, business associations and local elected officials to create Think Local First.

The chamber's Think Local First subcommittee is part of the chamber's existing Economic Development committee and is committed to keeping commerce and revenues in the region. The initiative is designed to grow jobs, strengthen the local tax base and champion commerce by encouraging local purchasing, hiring and contracting of services.

The Think Local First campaign kicked off on November 15, 2014. Approximately 3,800 local companies are registered on the website. The chamber has and intends to promote the messaging with editorial, ads in community papers, elected officials' letters to their constituents and partners' public service announcements. The PSAs can be seen on the Think Local First website, social media outlets and in its bi-weekly email blasts.

"We're pleased to have a local, fourth generation, family-owned company be one of our four inaugural Think Local First presenting partners," said N. San Diego Business Chamber President and CEO, Debra Rosen. "Baker Electric Solar's contributions and PSA video are designed to strengthen the economic base of our communities by encouraging purchasing locally. The Baker team is helping us achieve our goal to build strong local business relationships to empower everyone in the region."

"Baker Electric Solar is all about growth. It was natural for us to step up and be a presenting partner in the Think Local First campaign because it's designed to grow jobs and help the economics of our area," said Baker Electric Solar President Mike Teresso. "We know our company and employee's local purchases make a difference in the community where we work and live."
