Booth Spaces at the 12th China International Battery Fair Running Out with 80 Percent Reserved

Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center (SCEC) from May 24-26, 2016

TIANJIN, China, Sept. 15, 2015 -- The 12th China International Battery Fair (CIBF2016) will take place at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center (SCEC) from May 24-26, 2016, featuring an unprecedented increase in the number of exhibitors. In addition, two new events, the 1st China International Energy Storage Exhibition andthe 1st China International Power Bank Exhibition, will run concurrently to the main event.

The 82,500sqm event is organized by the China Industrial Association of Power Sources (CIAPS). To date, more than 600 firms and organizations have booked over 70,000sqm of the available booth space since registration has opened for exhibitors on July 20, 2015.

The enthusiasm displayed by exhibitors this year is observably higher than in previous years, leading the organizers to dramatically increase the size of the exhibition area. Industry players from Germany, South Korea and Taiwan have reserved space for large-scale pavilions where they will group together their respective delegation of exhibitors. Domestic battery makers, equipment manufacturers, material producers and energy storage system integrators will gather at CIBF2016 to showcase the latest in battery products, system integration solutions and intelligent automation production equipment with a variety of new materials for the xEV, energy storage and consumer electronics markets.

China has become the world's largest market for photovoltaic (PV) applications and wind power generation. In 2014, Chinese PV generators delivered 10.52 GW in new capacity to connected grids, bringing overall capacity to 26.52 GW, a year-on-year growth of 67%. The power generation target for new capacity in 2015 is 15GW. In 2014, wind power generation capacity for connected grids in China increased 17.7GW, raising the total delivered to connected grids up to 95.8GW, a year-on-year growth of 25.6%. Judging from the current ratio of PV and wind power generators to energy storage devices installed in China, expectations are high that the scale of China's energy storage market will reach RMB100 billion in 2020, regardless of the costs.

At the 1st China International Energy Storage Exhibition, Shenzhen Clou Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., plans to showcase their latest developments in household, commercial and grid-level energy storage systems as well as various energy storage solutions for isolated piconets, off-grid power plants, grid-connected wind alongside their photovoltaic power storage facilities and household energy systems.
