PHOTOVOLTAIC: CONVERT ITALIA CONTINUES ITS EXPANSION IN LATIN AMERICA

The Italian Tracker Company is strengthening its presence in South America, and in occasion of CIREC Week in Santiago, Chile, the event dedicated to renewables energies, Convert Italia will be one of the finalists of the CIREC Awards in the "best project of the year" category, for the Carrera Pinto PV plant.

Convert, a Rome based company active for 35 years in the energy sector, will supply its TRJ tracker, for the East/West PV modules movement, for a new 100 MWp PV plant in Brazil. The company announced that in the occasion of its next participation at CIREC week, Renewable Energies Event organized by the UK Green Power, that will take place in Santiago, Chile (17-20 October) that will culminate with the Awards. Convert is the finalist in the "best project of the year" category, for the 96 MWp PV plant of Carrera Pinto, entered into service last September.

Carrera Pinto plant is situated in the desert region of Atacama and occupies almost 180 hectares. It is one of the largest plants for capacity worldwide and was developed with single axis tracker technology. Convert is one of the five top producers in 2016 in terms of capacity.

Convert continues its globalization strategy, benefiting from the fruits of its efforts and investment in R&D. The company will close the current year with a turnover of about 50 million Euro, of which the 80% comes from international contracts.
