With over 70% of available space booked at All-Energy 2017 (Glasgow's SECC, 10-11 May 2017) the UK's largest renewable and low carbon energy exhibition and conference is in fine shape. Shepherd and Wedderburn has returned as Headline Sponsor of the two-day event; and abstracts are coming in thick and fast at the final week in which submissions can be made. The Call for Papers officially closes on Thursday 15 December.

"We are in great shape and looking forward to a busy and, as ever, ‘buzzy', show next May, when business will most certainly be done, and valuable contacts made in both the exhibition, the far-ranging conference and at our Giant Networking Evening," explains Event Director, Jonathan Heastie of organisers, Reed Exhibitions.

"In the exhibition we will be seeing many familiar faces and organisations returning as exhibitors, but we are delighted to be welcoming companies who have not exhibited for many years, or are new to our show floor, such Grundfos, Vestas, Eland Cables, Sulzer, the Turner Group, EPSRC, TNEI, Deutsche Windtechnik, the Energy Technologies Institute and many more. Currently we are ahead of bookings this time last year, which augurs extremely well for the event, its exhibitors and visitors.

"On the subject of welcoming back old friends, we are equally pleased to be able to announce that Shepherd and Wedderburn is the All-Energy 2017 Headline Sponsor. Amongst other roles they will be sponsoring our Offshore Wind Theatre; our Smart Urban Mobility Solutions theatre running alongside our new co-located event of the same name; and also the quick fire seminar theatre that will be devoted to offshore wind and to wave and tidal developments.

As Shepherd and Wedderburn Partner and Head of Clean Energy Projects, Clare Foster, explains: "Following on from another successful All-Energy in 2016, it was clear to us that Shepherd and Wedderburn should continue to play a leading role in next year's event. The scope of the conference is a great fit for our Energy and Natural Resources practice. That, combined with the fact that it is the UK's largest renewable energy event, attracting a truly global audience, sealed our decision to, once again, become Headline Sponsor.

"Over the two-days, All-Energy provides an excellent opportunity to catch up with our clients and meet new contacts from across the industry. We also look forward to showcasing the firm's expertise, with speakers immersed in the sector joining the always impressive speaker line-up."

Further information on all aspects of the All-Energy Call for Papers is available on the show's website at www.all-energy.co.uk. With a multi-stream free-to-attend conference that looks at all forms of renewable and low carbon energy generation and associated topics such as energy storage, low carbon heat, energy efficiency, finance and funding, the grid, smart and sustainable cities, carbon capture and storage, and the opportunities and challenges posed by all, the two day conference provides a one-stop shop for updates on the entire gamut of topics.

Alongside All-Energy
Meanwhile the co-located Smart Urban Mobility Solutions conference (with the same closing date for abstracts) www.smarturbanmobilitysolutions.com will provide invaluable briefing for all involved in providing smart solutions. The event is aimed at representatives from cities, local/regional/national governments and authorities as well as transport authorities; city and transport infrastructure contractors; decision makers and advisors from private ventures; large utility groups; investors and technologists. A full list of proposed topics ranging from autonomous vehicles and the necessary infrastructure to sensor technologies; use of big data to smart payment/parking technologies; and noise and emission reduction to charging/refuelling infrastructure and energy management features on the website.

"There will be a display area for smart and sustainable urban vehicles, some of which have featured in the past at All-Energy, boosted by other displays from SUMS providers," explains Jonathan Heastie.

"We would like to encourage organisations local to Glasgow to consider inviting our visitors and exhibitors at both events to site visits to relevant local installations and/or to technology demonstrations the day before, or after, All-Energy 2017 and SUMS 2017," Jonathan Heastie adds
