Kold Ban International
Kold Ban International is the leading manufacture of engine starting solutions for a variety of applications. KAPower Supercapacitors (aka Ultracapacitors) are an alternative or counterpart to lead-acid engine starting batteries or an alternative to high pulse-power batteries. KAPower is designed using Nickel and Carbon electrodes, non-conducting separators, and an alkaline electrolyte inside each cell. This asymmetric design allows KAPower to experience a "Faradaic pseudo-capacitive behavior". In addition, unlike symmetric supercapacitors KAPower needs no internal cell balancing. KAPower's internal cells are self balancing. KAPower will provide reliable engine cranking for 15 to 20 years or upwards of 1,000,000 cycles.
